Final Post

I have done some things to be more like my mission statement. I have good grades. I get some exercise. I eat healthy balanced meals so I stay healthy. I am learning to be closer to God in the things I do. So I guess that this means that I did a fairly good job of fulfilling my mission statement! Yeah!

Learning style

My main learning style is the solitary style. Verbal and physical are not to far behind. Solitary means they I like to study alone. It also means that I like do work on things alone and not in groups. Verbal means that I like to read and write. Physical means that I like hands on kinds of things.

Self pity is our worst enemy and if we yield to it, we can never do anything wise in the world.
Helen Keller
I think that this quote is very true. We have to have self respect in order to do anything well. It would be hard to accomplish any goals if a person doesn't have self respect. A person could have to much self respect though and get stuck up think that they are perfect, so we have to be careful of that.

Bible verse

Psalm 23 (New International Version)
Psalm 23
A psalm of David.

1 The LORD is my shepherd,

I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,

He leads me beside quiet waters,
3 He restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of righteousness

for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk

through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil,

for you are with me;

your rod and your staff,

they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil;

my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me

all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD

forever.

I find this verse very inspirational. Even though sometimes I have to do things that are hard of that I don't want to do God will help me. He will give me the strength to do whatever I need to do. Then when he comes back He will give me the abilities to do everything. Even the school work I struggle with now will be easy then.

Health and cheerfulness naturally beget each other.

~Joseph Addison

I think that this is a very true quote. If you are a very unhappy person you may get sick easily. If you are a happy person it will help you to stay well. So if a person wants to stay healthy they should be happy. I mean really, truly happy not just portraying a false front of happiness.

Keyboarding

I passed both of my keyboarding test. That means I am done with the class. One speed was thirty one and the other was thirty four. The second one was probably faster because I had already typed it once.

Win-Win

I acted in a win-win situation just before my science test. Michelle and I studied a part of the notes Mrs. Barizo gave us just before our test. Then it was on the test. We both got the question right!YEAH!!

Growing with God qoute

Suffering is part of the human condition, and it comes to us all. The key is how we react to it, either turning away from God in anger and bitterness or growing closer to Him in trust and confidence.

BILLY GRAHAM

Just As I AmI think is important that everyone grows closer to God. Everyone one goes through hard times. Every ones suffers. This year I am trying to use my suffering to become closer to God. I am trying not reject Him.

Grades

My grades this far are holding to my mission statement. I am doing well in all my classes. This is a very good thing so I can do whatever I want to do when I get into college! I don't have any grades below an A.

Favorite Entertainment

My favorite type of entertainment is probably watching TV. A lot of the time I watch NCIS or CSI. Theses shows are probably some of the better shows to watch because they teach you a lot of things. Some examples are probably talking about fungus or about trees having DNA( which I find really strange).

Friendship poem

If nobody smiled and nobody cheered

and nobody helped us along;

If every man looked after himself

and good things all went to the strong;

If nobody cared just a little for you,

and nobody thought about me

And we all stood alone in the battle of life,

what a dreary old world this would be!

Life is sweet because of the friends we’ve made.

All things in common we share.

We want to live on, not because of ourselves,

but because of the people who care.

It’s giving and doing for somebody else -

on that all life’s splendor depends;

And the joy of the world when you sum it all up

, is formed in the making of friends.
by B.J.Morbitzer

I think this is a really cool poem. It describes friendship the way just about everyone wants it to be. We all want to have friends that feel this way about us. We also want our friends to think of us this way.

bad experience

A bad experience I have had is the time I left my twenty dollar bill laying outside for a minute or so and it blew away. I never found that twenty dollar bill. I hope it blew to someone who needed it. I learned that money gets blown away very easily. I also learned that I need to be careful where I put things.

Quote

"God's gifts put man's best dreams to shame."

Elizabeth Barrett Browning

I think this quote is a very important quote. God gave us the ability to dream. He does put our best dreams to shame. He gave us those dreams. He had to come up with them first. I think our dreams are important. Dreams can be about our grades, friends, or anything else. God had to give us the dreams before we can follow our dreams.

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:1

Genesis 1:1 is the very beginning of the Bible. It talks about creating. God had to be really creative to come up with such cool designs. I think being creative is important. It can help you with your school work and can in turn help you with your grades.
